Welcome to 1st Pinelands

1st Pinelands is a Scout group situated in Pinelands (the “Garden City” of Cape Town) South Africa. The group started first in 1923 and then officially in 1928, so it has been going for over 90 years and has a rich history.

We are a mixed group of Meerkats, Cubs, Scouts and Rovers and normally meet once a week on a Friday for troop meetings. The activities do not end there, besides our normal troop meeting we do many other activities, especially in the outdoors!

Scouts is a worldwide organisation with over 57 million current members and volunteers and has been around for over one hundred years.
